Indosat's Revenue Increases 10 Percent To IDR 51.2 Trillion In 2023

JAKARTA - Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (ISAT) posted revenue of IDR 51.2 trillion in 2023, an increase of 10 percent compared to the previous year (year-on-year/yoy). This is driven by an increase in the quality of consumer and corporate customers and the positive performance of all company business lines.

"From cellular lines, revenue grew 8.7 percent yoy to IDR 43.7 trillion in line with the increase in data and interconnect revenue," said ISAT President Director and Chief Executive Officer totaling Sinha in Jakarta, Wednesday.

Meanwhile, multimedia revenue, communication, and internet (MIDI) data rose 13.0 percent yoy, supported by a fixed increase in IT and internet service revenues.

telecommunications revenues also shot up 28.4 percent yoy, contributed by increased international telephone income and fixed networks.

Indosat increased the number of 4G BTS by 30.7 percent yoy, to 179,000 sites throughout Indonesia.

The company also completed the network integration process at more than 46.000 sites in just one year using multi-operator core network (MOCN) technology.

The application of this technology makes the network's wider reach, better indoor service quality, and a faster to double internet experience to improve service quality and expand connectivity in rural areas.

Better download and latency speeds improve customers' digital experiences for key services such as video streaming and gaming.

The increase in service quality contributed to strong data traffic growth by 14.8 percent yoy to 14,417 petabytes (PB).

The company recorded an increase in the number of home broadband (HBB) customers to 336.9 thousand by the end of 2023.

Meanwhile, monthly active users (MAU) applications belonging to Indosat, myIM3 and Bima+ also increased rapidly by 8.6 million yoy to 37.7 million users, reflecting the promising potential of the digital business.
