Jasa Marga Limits Goods Trucks Through Toll Roads During Long Weekends, Here Are The Details

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) has imposed restrictions on the operational transportation of goods on some of its toll roads during the long holidays of Isra Mikraj and Chinese New Year 2024.

This is to support the implementation of the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Kakorlantas Polri and Director General of Highways Number: KP-DRJD 623 of 2024, Number: SKB/21/I/2024 and Number: 21/KPTS/DB/2024 dated January 30, 2024 concerning Road Traffic Regulation and Crossing During the Long Holiday Commemorating Isra Miraj Nabi Muhammad SAW and New Year Imlek 2024.

In the traffic regulation contained in the SKB, a number of efforts were made, such as restrictions on the operational transportation of goods to heavy cargo cars that were allowed (JBI) of more than 14,000 kilograms (kg), goods cars with three or more axes, goods cars with attached trains, goods cars with truncation trains and goods cars for transportation, be it land, sand, stone, mining or building materials and the determination of the contra flow system.

Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana said that her party was doing this to ensure the safety, security, order, and smooth traffic as well as road and crossing transportation.

The hope is that the use and movement of traffic on toll roads during long holidays can be optimal.

"We are ready to support operational restrictions on freight transport which have been implemented from Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 16.00 local time until Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 24.00 local time on a number of Jasa Marga Group toll roads," Lisye said as quoted from Jasa Marga's official website, Friday, February 9.

Lisye added that on the first day of restriction on goods transportation, the number of goods transport vehicles decreased by 30 percent compared to normal days.

"In order to ensure safety, security and order and smooth traffic, we also urge all road users to obey existing regulations," he said.

The following are a number of Jasa Marga Group toll roads as implementation locations for the SKB in question:

1. DKI Jakarta-Banten: Jakarta-Tangerang

2. DKI Jakarta: a) Prof. DR. Ir. Sedyatmo; b) Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR); Danc) In Jakarta City.

3. DKI Jakarta and West Java: a) Jakarta-Bogor-Ciawi danb) Jakarta-Cikampek.

4. West Java: a) Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang-Cileunyi.

5. Central Java: a) Batang-Semarang; b) Krapyak-Jatingaleh, (Semarang);c) Jatingaleh-Srondol, (Semarang);d) Jatingaleh-Muktiharjo, (Semarang); Dane) Semarang-Solo-Ngawi.

6. East Java: a) Ngawi-Kertosono-Mojokerto-Surabaya-Gempol-Pasuruan danb) Pandaan-Malang.

Jasa Marga will also support the implementation of contra flow traffic engineering according to police discretion with the following time for traffic regulation:

1. Homecoming:

a) Wednesday, February 7, 2024, starting at 16.00 to 24.00 local time starting from KM 47 (West Karawang) to KM 87 (Subang);

b) Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 08.00 to 24.00 local time from KM 47 (West Karawang) to KM 87 (Subang);

c) Friday, February 9, 2024 at 08.00 to 24.00 local time starting from KM 47 (West Karawang) to KM 87 (Subang).

2. Backflow

a) Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 08.00 to 24.00 local time from KM 87 (Subang) to KM 47 (West Karawang) and

b) Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 08.00 to 24.00 local time from KM 87 (Subang) to KM 47 (West Karawang).

Then, the time provision for the implementation of contra flow traffic engineering can be evaluated according to considerations from the police based on traffic conditions on each national road section.

"In this decree, it is also stated that in the event of sudden or situational changes in traffic flow, the police can carry out operational management in the form of discretion from the Police," he concluded.
