JAKARTA - The Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (Indef) revealed data on the results of the analysis conducted that Prabowo Subianto was the most popular presidential candidate on social media after the last debate that took place last night.
The method used by Indef is in the form of analysis of three social media, namely X (Twitter), TikTok and YouTube. For X and TikTok, the keyword method or keyword is used to see conversations related to the three presidential candidates (candidates).
Data Analyst Continuum Indef Maisie Sagita said the data used by Indef was free from interference from buzzers, bots and mass media.
"From the data we found Prabowo became the most popular presidential candidate by dominating the conversation reaching 45.2 percent on social media," he said at an Indef press conference, at the Mainhattan Hotel, Jakarta, Monday, February 5.
Then, continued Maisie, in second place was Anies Baswedan, which was 35 percent. While in third place is Ganjar Pranowo at 19.7 percent.
Maisie said the conversation regarding presidential candidate number 02 was highest on social media TikTok reaching almost 60 percent. Meanwhile on YouTube and X, the number of conversations between Anies and Prabowo is quite balanced at around 40 percent.
However, continued Maisie, even though Prabowo dominated the discussion on social media, it did not mean that the conversation was in the form of positive sentiment. Based on the data, he said, Prabowo received strong criticism from netizens, especially on X, reaching 35 percent.

"This is the highest criticism compared to other presidential candidates," he said.
Indef also noted a change. Where usually positive sentiment on TikTok social media is dominated by Prabowo, now it is Anies who gets the highest praise on social media. Even on X or Twitter.
"In previous debate, it was usually only Prabowo who received appreciation for positive sentiment on TikTok, but this has a new sentiment emerged for Anies on TikTok filled with positive sentiment," he said.
