Soetta Airport Readiness Checked To Welcome The Long Holiday Next Week

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (Ditjen Hubud) of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has ensured the readiness of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) facilities and infrastructure ahead of the long holiday of Isra Miraj Nabi Muhammad SAW and the 2024 Chinese New Year.

"Entering the long holiday, operational activities at Soekarno-Hatta Airport will increase. We want to ensure that all facilities and services at the airport are ready to serve passengers well," said Director General (Dirjen) of Air Transportation M. Kristi Endah Murni in a statement in Jakarta as quoted by Antara, Sunday.

Kristi inspected Soetta Airport on Friday (2/2) to ensure the readiness of airport facilities and infrastructure to face a surge in the number of passengers.

Kristi also interacts with security officers, checkin counter officers, and airport management to ensure flight operational activities and services provided are in accordance with applicable procedures.

In addition, he is also trying to check the service and convenience of the elevated train (Kalayang) or what is commonly called asky train, as an alternative to free public transportation connecting the departure terminal at Soetta Airport.

"I also check the service of elevated trains, elevator facilities, escalators and toilet hygiene at the terminal, all comfortable and clean," he said.

Soetta Airport as the main gateway for flights in Indonesia has a very important role in ensuring smooth and safe air connectivity, especially during national holidays.

"We are grateful to all the teams on duty at Soekarno-Hatta Airport for working hard to ensure all operations run smoothly," Kristi said.
