JAKARTA - Executive Director of Pre-Employment Card Program Implementation Denni Puspa Purbasari said the Pre-Employment Card program will reopen in Semester I in 2024.

"Certainly, (The Pre-Employment Card is opened in the first semester of 2024) just wait," he said after the signing of the Cooperation Agreement with the OJK, Friday, February 2, 2024.

For details, Denni cannot confirm when the Pre-Employment Card program will be opened or the date the Pre-Employment Card program starts. Meanwhile, further information on the Pre-Employment Card will be conveyed directly by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto.

"Later, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy will find it," he added.

Because until now, the Managing Management of the Pre-Employment Card Program is waiting for the results of the Job Creation Committee meeting and several training institutions regarding the opening of this year's Pre-Employment Card program.

"Because we are waiting for the Job Creation committee meeting as well as several training institutions. Now it is also in the process of being accessed so that there are more choices for Pre-Employment Card participants," he said.

Meanwhile, Denni emphasized that there was no change in the number of incentives received by Pre-Employment Card participants for this year or the same as in 2023. The amount of incentives to be obtained is IDR 4.2 million per individual.

This total is divided into training costs of Rp. 3.5 million, incentives for funds provided after training worth Rp. 600 thousand given once, and survey incentives worth Rp. 100,000 for two survey fillings.

Previously, the Government had targeted 1.2 million participants in the 2024 Pre-Employment Card program. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the figure was to fulfill the target of 19 million training participants who had been covered by Pre-Employment since its launch.

Airlangga also ensured that in the current political year it would not affect the target and realization of the Pre-Employment Card program.

"The target (in 2024) is around 1.2 million who are trained. The training does not depend on the political year. Now it is 17 million, so the addition is around 1.2 million," said Airlangga at the Kempinski Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, January 23.
