Mahfud Wants Open Information On Land Dispute Settlement Data

JAKARTA - Candidate for Vice President number 3, Mahfud MD wants data and information disclosure regarding land dispute resolution. He is of the opinion that the problem of resolving natural resources and energy must be comprehensive from upstream to downstream.

Mahfud also reflected on his experience when he was the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court who handled problems related to agrarian and forestry.

"I have experience in hearings that talk about this. For example, the information is closed, who owns illegal land over there? When a list is made, it is not on the temporary list that there are people who have data. When asked, it will be shown," Mahfur said in the Debat Candidate for Vice President, Sunday, January 21.

Thus, according to him, the settlement of land disputes and illegal logging cannot be comprehensive because there is still a lot of data being covered up.

"You can't. The secret is not about the data on the confiscation of people's land, where is the case? Who took the oil palm plantation? That must be a complete list," continued Mahfud.

Mahfud said, after further investigation, it turned out that there were still many games and hidden data and the requested data had just been released.

"For this reason, it is important for us to disclose information about data. If we want to solve it, the data must be the basis for completion," concluded Mahfud.
