Indonesia's National Energy Resilience Index Is Only 6.64

JAKARTA - The National Energy Council announced that the Indonesian Energy Resilience Index in 2023 will be set at 6.64 in the Candidate category.

Secretary General of the National Energy Council (DEN) Djoko Siswanto said the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources divided the national energy security category into 5 categories, namely very vulnerable, vulnerable, underresistant, resilient and very resistant.

"Index Indonesia's Energy Resilience Alhamdulillah, we have been able to complete the calculation and we have calculated it at 6.64. Thank God the category is resistant," he said at the Press Conference on Performance Achievements of the National Energy Council, Wednesday, January 17.

According to him, with this achievement, Indonesia has only entered the stage of being resistant but is still very early.

By referring to aspects of resilience or availability, Indonesia is still importing several energy commodities such as raw oil, gasoline and LPG.

"Availability is domestic and imports. We still have LPG, crude oil and gasoline. In our roadmap program, we import we will reduce gasoline with electric vehicles, then LPG with electric stoves and DME as well as the construction of new refineries," explained Djoko.

Meanwhile, from the Accessibility side, Djoko said that Indonesia continues to provide fuel services through the One Price Fuel program throughout Indonesia. This year, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources plans to add 100 Stau Harga fuel locations that will target eastern Indonesia. RI, he said, will also continue to build transmissions for electricity and gas pipelines.

Then from the Affordability or affordability side, INDionesia still provides subsidies for the community. He gave an example of the coal ahrga subsidy to PLN and the pricing for the 4 KG LPG and Pertalite type fuel set at IDR 10,000 per liter.

"Then later when it is not imported, then all infrastructure is built. Prices are no longer subsidized and finally our EBT this year reached 13.09 percent. If EBT is on target and does not import, it could be number 10," concluded Djoko.
