PLTU Suralaya Will Use Solar B35 From Pertamina Patra Niaga

JAKARTRA - Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java (JBB) will supply non-subsidized Solar fuel oil (BBM) B35 in the context of operations for the construction of Steam Power Plants (PLTU) in Suralaya, Cilegon, Banten.

For this reason, Pertamina Patra Niaga signed a procurement contract with PT Indo Raya Tenaga (IRT) which was carried out by the Executive GM Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB Deny Djukardi and the Business Director of PT Indo Raya Tenaga Jonny Karli.

In this collaboration, Pertamina Patra Niaga is committed to the provision and delivery services. Furthermore, Maya Kusmaya conveyed that cooperation for the carbon offset scheme can also be explored. As is well known, it is known that the government has set regulations related to the carbon tax for PLTU, and Pertamina Patra Niaga is also committed to becoming a decarbonization partner for our partners through the natural based solution owned by Pertamina Group.

Regional GM Executive JBB Deny Djukardi said the construction of the PLTU in Suralaya would later become one of the largest PLTUs with a capacity of 2 x 1000 MW. At the PLTU construction site, there are two stockpile tanks with a capacity of 750 Kiloliters (KL) which Pertamina will supply later.

Deny explained that the need for fuel in the construction of this PLTU reached 33 million liters or 2 million liters per month for the next 1.5 years. Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that Bio-Solar B35 products, which are a mixture of 35 percent palm oil and 65 percent solar, are one of Pertamina's best products to support the construction of this PLTU.

Pertamina's supply point for the delivery of fuel for the construction of the Suralaya PLTU, namely from the Tanjung Gerem Fuel Terminal, Cilegon. The supply point is less than 15 kilo meters (KM) to the supply point, so it is hoped that there will be no problems in the delivery," added Deny.

Area Manager Communication, Relation & CSR of Pertamina Region West Java, Eko Kristiawan said, that the collaboration with PT IRT is also in line with Pertamina's program, namely Pertamina One Stop Solution, especially since the construction of this PLTU is also a National Strategic Project where Pertamina Patra Niaga will be fully committed to product quality, the process of supply and distribution up to supply points.
