JAKARTA - Protelindo through PT iforte Solusi Infotek (iForte) acquired the majority stake in PT MCP Indo Utama (MC Payment), a payment system service provider company (payment gateway).

Thus, MC Payment officially changed its name to PT Iforte Payment Infrastructure and introduced "ihatpay" which became an integral part of the Protelindo Group.

CEO of iberanya and Protelindo Group, Ferdinandus Aming Santoso said the acquisition of the MC Payment Group as iberanyapay was a strategic step to strengthen the iberanya ecosystem in the digital financial infrastructure sector.

"We are very enthusiastic about the presence of ihatpay to further strengthen the ecosystem in the digital financial infrastructure sector and at the same time become added value so as to provide more value to customers," said Aming Santoso in a written statement, quoted Tuesday, January 9.

"So, with the diversification of this service, it is hoped that it will make the icendiary and Protelindo Group have more positive impacts in the connectivity industry in the country," he continued.

Even though it has been acquired, said Aming Santoso, MC Payment also continues to collaborate with PT ALTO Network (ALTO).

This collaboration is expected to be further strengthened strategically, where ALTO, iberanya and ikelypay will work together to provide end-to-end payment solutions to industry players.

On the same occasion, Director ihatpay Valerino Wijaya said that his party was very enthusiastic about this collaboration which would strengthen ihatpay's position as the leading payment service provider in Indonesia.

"With the support of iforte and ALTO, we believe we can provide our customers with innovative solutions, bringing the digital payment experience to a higher level," he said.

Meanwhile, ALTO Business Director totaling Griselda said that his party saw great potential in this collaboration to present a more sophisticated and reliable end-to-end payment solution.

ALTO is also committed to continuing to support the growth of the digital payment industry in Indonesia, and this partnership is a strategic step in achieving this goal.

"This collaboration will strengthen the position of the parties as a key player in the digital financial infrastructure sector in Indonesia. With continuous innovation and focus on leading solutions, iforcing, ifortepay and ALTO are ready to respond to demands for the digital era in the coming year," he said.

According to totaling, one of the latest developments that marks a new stage in ipay's evolution is the launch of a new website, namely ifortepay.id.

"This website is designed to provide users with a better experience in getting to know the product and solution of leading, innovative payments, following technological and lifestyle trends," he concluded.
