Pertamax Consumption Soars During The Christmas And New Year Holiday Period

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Riva Siahaan said the consumption of Pertamax fuel was the highest during the period of the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year ESDM National Command Post.

"Pertalite as much as 4.7 percent, Pertamax 7.2 percent, Pertamax Turbo by 0.7 percent, and nationally average fuel consumption reaching 4.6 percent," Riva said at a press conference closing the ESDM National Command Post on Christmas and New Year's Day, Monday, January 8.

Riva also detailed areas that recorded a significant increase in consumption, including the Yogyakarta Istimwea Region at 5.3 percent, West Java at 3.8 percent, and Central Java at 8.4 percent.

"In Toba Samosir, oil gas has reached 43 percent," added Riva.

Present on the same occasion, Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati, as Chair of the ESDM Sector National Command Post, reported the highest national fuel distribution on the homecoming flow on December 23, 2023. The increase in gasoline or gasoline was recorded at 15.73 percent of the normal distribution.

Meanwhile, the first backflow occurred on December 26, 2023, with an 8.56 percent increase in gasoline from normal distribution.

Then the second backflow that occurred on January 3, 2024, gasoline distribution rose 9.14 percent from normal distribution.

The distribution during the 2023/2024 Nataru Command Post period compared to the average normal distribution for gasoline increased by 4.5 percent and the avtur increased by 1.8 percent, while gasoline decreased by 3.9 percent.

Just so you know, during this period 116 fuel terminals, 7,897 gas stations, 5,480 Pertashop and 71 DPPUs have been alerted.

In addition, there are additional fuel services in the form of standby gas stations, Pertamina Alert, Motorist, and Standby Tank Cars.

The distribution of fuel during the 2023/2024 Nataru Command Post period compared to the 2022/2023 Nataru Command Post for gasoline distribution increased by 4.6 percent and Avtur increased by 10 percent.

Meanwhile, gasoline distribution decreased by 0.4 percent.
