JAKARTA - At the Closing and Press Conference of the National Command Post of the ESDM Sector for Christmas Day 2023 and New Year 2024, Head of BPH Migas Erika Retnowati, as Chair of the ESDM Sector National Command Post, reported that the distribution of fuel in general was in a safe condition.

He said that the special concern in the fuel sector during the implementation of the post for the period from December 15, 2023 to January 8, 2024, was related to several natural disasters (gempas, volcanic eruptions, floods) in Indonesia which were at risk of having an impact on the fuel sector, especially the distribution of fuel to the community.

He also reported that earthquakes had occurred in several areas, including Sumedang, Lebak Banten, Pangandaran, Kupang, Lebak Banten as well as mountain eruptions including Mount Semeru, Mount Ibu, Mount Dukono GGunung Ili Lewotolok, Mount Anak Krakatau, Mount Marapi, Mount Lewotobl Laki and floods in North Aceh Regency.

"However, the earthquake, mountain eruptions, and floods did not have an impact on the distribution of fuel and fuel stocks in a safe condition," Erika said at a press conference in Jakarta, Monday, January 8.

Furthermore, he explained that BPH Migas carried out stock volume monitoring and realization of daily fuel distribution, as well as conducting field supervision to monitor conditions for the provision and distribution of fuel in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Bangka Belitung, South Sumatra, Lampung, Banten, West Java, DI Yogyakarta, Central Java, East Java, Ball, NTB, NTT, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua. "The results of supervision are the distribution of Safe and Smooth Fuel," added Erika.

Just so you know, during this period 116 fuel terminals, 7,897 gas stations, 5,480 Pertashop and 71 DPPUs have been alerted.

The distribution of fuel during the 2023/2024 Nataru Command Post period compared to the 2022/2023 Nataru Command Post for gasoline distribution increased by 4.6 percent and Avtur increased by 10 percent. Meanwhile, gasoline distribution decreased by 0.4 percent.
