Sandiaga Offers Tourism Investment Opportunities To Dubai Property Entrepreneurs

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) Sandiaga Uno held a meeting with Chairman Juliya Holding Abdullah Lahej.

During the meeting, Menparekraf Sandiaga offered investment opportunities in the Indonesian tourism sector in an effort to encourage economic revival and open up community employment opportunities.

Abdullah Lahej and his company are known to be the parties that built many iconic landmarks in Dubai, such as the DOWNtown Dubai, Dubai Marina, Business Bay and Arabian Ranches.

"We invite crazy Holding to invest in Indonesia, as well as provide lessons to us to build Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and a number of tourism destinations in the country," Sandiaga said in a written statement, quoted Monday, January 8.

Sandiaga also invited Abdullah Lahej to visit Jembrana, Bali.

Jembrana is one of the destination destinations for tourism which is currently being developed into a new economic center on the Island of the Gods.

"So what can we help to facilitate investing in Indonesia? We are very open," he said.

Responding to this, the Chairman ofcurrent Holding and Chairman of Trademark Group of Companies UAE admitted that they were enthusiastic about visiting Bali immediately.

"We welcome this offer, coincidentally in the near future we plan to go to Australia, we will come to see the beauty of your country," he said.
