President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Tuesday inaugurated four Type A Mass Transport Terminals, namely Purworejo Terminal and Mendolo Wonosobo Terminal in Central Java and Purboyo Madiun Terminal and Patria Blitar Terminal in East Java. The inauguration was carried out simultaneously at Purworejo Terminal.
The Purworejo Terminal was built at a cost of Rp35 billion originating from State Sharia Securities (SBSN). This terminal has an area of 12,315 square meters and a building area of 2,378.1 square meters, and serves 615 passengers with a total of 105 buses per day.
Meanwhile, the Mendolo Terminal was built at a cost of Rp. 20 billion from Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP). This terminal has a land area of 29,319 square meters and a building area of 7,742 square meters, and serves 2,090 passengers with a total of 280 buses per day.
Then, the Purboyo Terminal was built at a cost of Rp29.8 billion from SBSN. This terminal has a land area of 28,719 square meters and a building area of 11,230 square meters, and serves 4,350 passengers with a total of 339 buses per day.
Then the Patria Terminal was built at a cost of Rp. 66.6 billion from SBSN. This terminal has an area of 14,932 square meters and a building area of 3,950 square meters, and serves 330 buses per day with a total of 4,344 passengers per day.
Budi Karya explained that the construction and revitalization of Type A Terminals in various regions is a priority program to improve inter-provincial and provincial intercity bus transportation services (AKAP/AKDP).
