JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga has again made price adjustments for non-subsidized fuel oil (BBM).

Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Irto Ginting, said that this adjustment follows the trend of fluctuating the average price of world oil publications, namely the publication price of Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS)/Argus and the Rupiah currency exchange rate.

"Precise price adjustments follow world oil price fluctuations. Currently, the price trend is falling, so the selling price of non-pertamina's fuel products, namely the Pertamax Series and Dex Series, is again in effect on January 1, 2024, after previously in December also experiencing price reduction adjustments," said Irto in his statement to the media, Monday, January 1.

He detailed, with this adjustment, Pertamax will be adjusted to Rp12,950 per liter from Rp13,350, Pertamax Green 95 to Rp13,900 from Rp14,900 per liter, Pertamax Turbo to Rp14,400 from Rp15,350 per liter, Dexlite to Rp14,550 from Rp15,550 per liter, and Pertamina Dex to Rp15,100 from Rp16,200 per liter.

"This price applies to the Java region and the area with a motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) of 5 percent," he continued.

Just so you know, the determination of this new price is in accordance with the pricing formula according to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 regarding the JBU or non-subsidized fuel formulation.

"So, the price evaluation has referred to the trend of fluctuating the MOPS world oil price and the calculation has followed the price formulation in the ESDM Ministerial Decree, indeed periodic changes in non-subsidized fuel prices will always occur," explained Irto.

Irto added, as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN), Pertamina Patra Niaga will always maintain competitive and affordable fuel prices for people to remote areas of the country, not only in big cities.

"This is a form of distribution and provision of fuel based on the principles of Availability, Accessibility, Affordability, Acceptability and Sustainability, how do we set competitive prices for the community while ensuring that distribution to remote areas of the country can still be carried out optimally," concluded Irto.
