Anticipating The 2024 New Year Holidays, ASDP Kayangan Lombok Alerts 26 Ships

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Kayang Harbor in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, has alerted 26 ferry ships. This is to anticipate a surge in the number of passengers and vehicles during the 2024 New Year holiday.

"We have prepared 26 ships for crossing Kayangan and Poto Tano in West Sumbawa," said General Manager of ASDP Kayangan Port, Agus Djoko Trianto quoting Antara.

He said that every day there are 10 ships with 82 trips serving the Kayangan Port crossing - Poto Tano Port round-trip (PP).

"That day there are 82 trips, meaning with 10 ships there will be no buildup at the port," he said.

Agus admitted that if there was a buildup at the port, the number of ships operating would be increased from 10 ships to 12 ships. However, if it is deemed insufficient, it will be added to 14 ships.

"This means that from 82 trips to 95 trips. The total number of ships that are ready is 26 ships, but normally we have covered 10," he said.

According to him, the public does not need to worry about having to wait for hours in line at the port, because that will not happen.

"There were no hours of waiting for the queue, as soon as I arrived to gather, going up, so on like that," said Agus.

In addition, Agus continued, during the New Year holidays, crossing rates remain as usual and there is no tariff increase. It's just that the purchase of tickets changes from manual to online.

"So the ticket purchases are all 'online'," he said.

For ticket bookings, the public is asked to have planned a long departure before, because if it is late, the tickets that have been purchased will be scorched like air transportation.

"Before that, service users were scorched, they could call the phone number 191 to do a refund or cancel. The revans mechanism can be explained on the 191 counter. Ideally, if you have bought the spread 2 hours before departure, for example, if you cross the 11 o'clock, you have to arrive at the port at 9 o'clock. So there is still time, so it's not too late, "he explained.

Ticket purchases can be made independently via cellphone or using the services of the existing community before entering the port area.

"To buy an independent ticket according to the tariff, but if you use the services of the community, you only pay for your services because you have helped, you are trying not to burden consumers," he said.
