After Christmas Holidays, A Total Of 98,085 Vehicles Cross The Trans Sumatra Toll Road

PT Hutama Karya (Persero) noted that there was an increase in traffic traffic on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) at the peak of the backflow of the 2023 Christmas holiday.

EVP Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Tjahjo Purnomo said the total number of vehicles leaving JTTS at the beginning of the 2023 Christmas backflow, namely December 26, 2023, was 98,085 vehicles, an increase of 50 percent of the normal traffic volume (VLL).

"The number of vehicles leaving the Terbanggi Besar-Kayu Agung Toll Road has reached a total of 18,668 vehicles, an increase of 39 percent from normal traffic," Tjahjo said in a press release, quoted Thursday, December 28.

Then, vehicles leaving the Palembang-Prabumulih Toll Road reached a total of 27,300 vehicles or 43 percent higher than normal traffic.

Next, vehicles leaving the Bengkulu-Taba Penjung Toll Road reached a total of 2,228 vehicles, an increase of 102.54 percent compared to normal traffic.

"Vehicles leaving the Pekanbaru-Bangkinang Toll Road total 5,661 vehicles or 61.19 percent higher than normal traffic," he said.

Then, 17,477 vehicles left the Pekanbaru-Dumai Toll Road or 23.09 percent higher than normal traffic.

"Vehicles that left the Indrapura-Fifty Toll Road were 13,355 vehicles, an increase of 64 percent compared to normal traffic," he said.

Furthermore, vehicles leaving the Binjai-Kuala Bingai Toll Road reached a total of 8,382 vehicles, an increase of 13.35 percent compared to normal traffic.

"Vehicles leaving the Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road were recorded at 5,014 vehicles or 88 percent higher than normal traffic," he said.

Meanwhile, for the additional functional toll road flow operated by Hutama Karya during the 2023 Christmas backflow, namely the Bangkinang-Tanjung Alai Toll Road, 1,109 vehicles have been recorded to have been crossed until December 26, 2023.

As for the Binjai-Langsa Section 3 (Kuala Bingai-Tanjung Pura) toll road, 6,511 vehicles have been crossed in the same period.

"We urge toll road users to be able to check the condition of the vehicle before driving, ensure that it is prime and does not drive sleepy, pull over and rest when sleepy, ensure that the electronic money card balance is in good condition and sufficient before traveling, and always agree that safety is number one," he added.
