JAKARTA - The Kali Dendeng Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara, was inaugurated by Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
The construction of SPAM Kali Dendeng is an effort by the government to improve access and safe drinking water services for the people of Kupang City through increasing the pipeline network.
SPAM Kali Dendeng was built by the Ministry of PUPR through the NTT Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW) of the Directorate General of Human Settlements with contractor PT Nindya Karya since 2020 and has been completed in 2022.
Director General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR Diana Kusumastuti said, SPAM Kali Dendeng, which is equipped with a modern system with controls through SCADA, can produce quality clean water and be beneficial for the welfare of the people of Kupang City.
