Beam Mobility, Asia Pacific's largest micro mobility company, continues its ongoing lifestyle innovation campaign by launching an electric bicycle ride-sharing service in the newest residential area in Lippo Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java.

Beam's environmentally friendly fleet is one of the convenient, safe, fun, and zero-pollution sustainable transportation alternatives, besides that the Beam fleet is also a feeder for commuters to travel from home - public transportation - offices and vice versa.

In Indonesia, the Mobility Beam has been present in several cities and areas including Bogor and Bali, educational areas such as the University of Indonesia, IPB, Brawijaya, and Unpad, to residential areas such as Bintaro, Jababeka, Alam Sutera, Jakarta Garden City, Citra Raya, Sedayu City, BSD and several other residential areas. Beam Mobility has operated scooter and electric bicycle sharing services in more than 60 cities in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, and Turkey.

PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk is collaborating with Beam Mobility to provide electric vehicle services in the form of bicycles called beam rovers in commercial areas and Lippo Cikarang housing.

"We believe that smart and environmentally friendly vehicles will help people in the area and can reduce carbon emissions, so that the air in the Lippo Cikarang area is cleaner, more comfortable and less pollution. We hope that this service can be received well by the surrounding community." said Gita Irmasari, Chief Operating Officer of PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk, in his statement, quoted Friday, December 1.

This is also in line with the real implementation of PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk's ESG commitment to support sustainable decarbonization and lifestyle, with Asri's aspect in the Lippo program for Indonesia PASTI' which offers a fairly wide residential, investment, recreation, and green open space.

"What we always emphasize is, Beam Mobility is not just an e-bike ridesharing service. But more than that Beam Mobility is an initiation program that stimulates the participation of the Community to live a new, more sustainable lifestyle, and this is why we continue to develop our services so that more people can accept it," said Ricky Sjofyan's Country Lead Beam Mobility. "Currently we provide 1 type of fleet in Lippo Cikarang, namely Beam Rover, as many as 500-units with more than 60 parking spots available at the location," added Ricky.

The entire Beam Mobility fleet has a maximum speed limit of 25km/hour equipped with the IoT technology feature, so that the condition of the vehicle can be monitored in real-time, via geofencing activation, and can automatically detect problems, such as when battery replacement is needed. Each fleet is also equipped with a spare battery. The Mobility beam ensures its fleet can be accessed by the public, where each fleet is equipped with use and safety instructions in driving.

In 2019 Beam has obtained a Neutral Climate certification as a company that provides its commitment to eliminating carbon emissions. Beam also implemented a Reduction Action Plan to reduce emissions in its operating activities while continuing the use of electric fleets from certified renewable sources, as well as converting them into certified energy sources for all of its operational activities.

"We also have a team that has been specially trained, the BEAM Rapid Response Ranger, which will help users to operate the fleet. We hope to expand our reach and provide our services in cities in Indonesia and commercial, educational and other housing areas," concluded Ricky.
