The data on the potential for cooperation above is the result of the implementation of the event for three days, starting from November 28 to November 30, 2023.

"There has been a commitment, many SOEs have come here, especially from the plantation sector as well as fertilizers that are interested and will carry out purchases with a commitment of IDR 423 billion which will immediately transact. That is a commitment," Budi said at the closing ceremony of the Inabuyer EV Expo 2023 at the Smesco Building, Jakarta, quoted Friday, December 1.

Budi said, for the number of exhibitors in the event there were 19 brands of electric vehicles or EVs and 21 brands of EV ecosystems.

Then, the number of visitors has exceeded the number of around 3,500 people.

"From the first day until now, the number of B2C transaction commitments for three days is around 156 units, with a total transaction of IDR 2.08 billion. Not bad, 156 units were sold for 3 days," he said.

On the same occasion, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs (Menkop UKM) Teten Masduki said that his party strongly supports the development of the EV industry in Indonesia.

He believes that the acceleration of the overall use of electric motors in the country will be in line with global commitments that have moved in a more environmentally friendly direction.

"All countries can make (electric vehicles) including Indonesia. Moreover, Indonesia has a large market share of 270 million. I am happy, this three years of extraordinary growth. Earlier there were 58 (brands) producing, TKDN and some even above 90 percent. I think this will continue to grow by being encouraged by government and individual spending," he said.

According to Teten, green economic support will create a new production structure and open up opportunities for MSME players. One of them is related to the production of spare parts or spare parts.

"Especially if the spare parts are produced with the concept of supply chain so that small businesses can create components and be assembled by brands. I am optimistic that local brands can compete externally, because I think the price is much more competitive and the quality can compete," he added.
