WIKA Speeds Up 6 Government Mainstay Projects, From IKN To The First Dam In South Sumatra

JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) said, there are six (6) mainstay government projects that continue to be accelerated for construction completion.

WIKA Corporate Secretary Mahendra Vijaya said, until September 2023, Wijaya Karya was working on 126 projects spread throughout Indonesia.

As for the 126 projects, 37 of them are national strategic projects (PSN).

"So, of the 126 projects, we only took 6 projects which are currently signature projects carried out by the company," Mahendra said at the Public Expose Live 2023, Monday, November 27.

Mahendra said the six projects in question were the first Pekanbaru-Padang Toll Road construction, which until October 2023 the progress had reached 93 percent. The contract value reached IDR 3.47 trillion.

The second WIKA mainstay project is the construction of the IKN toll road segment 3B Kariagau-Sp. Tempadung with a contract value of Rp. 632.46 billion. Meanwhile, project progress as of October 2023 reached 51.26 percent.

The third is the Palu steam power plant (PLTU) project of 2 x 34 Mega Watt (MW), which until October 2023 the progress has reached 82.6 percent. This project is located in Central Sulawesi with a total contract value of IDR 2.09 trillion.

Fourth, namely the Smelter Manyar project which is a purification and processing facility for the PTFI copper concentrate in the Java Integrated Industrial Estate (JIIPE) Gresik area worth IDR 1.08 trillion with progress reaching 68.4 percent until October 2023.

"This project functions to remove anode mud from the copper concentrate into gold and silver," said Mahendra.

Fifth, namely the construction of the state palace in IKN. It is known, the progress of the project has reached 31.02 percent until October 2023. Mahendra said the contract value that became WIKA's portion was IDR 543.49 billion.

Finally, WIKA is also speeding up the process of working on the first dam in South Sumatra, namely the Tiga Dihaji Dam.

"The Dihaji Dam will later become the first dam in South Sumatra, which will increase an irrigation area of 25,000 hectares, and this progress as of October has reached 75.8 percent and the project value is IDR 596 billion," he added.
