Sandiaga Calls RI Inaugurated As The Best Organizer From H2O, Here's What He Says

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said Indonesia was asked to host or host the best sports tourism events in the world, especially for water sports held in Lake Toba, North Sumatra.

At the 2023 Aquabike Jetski World Championship press conference at the Port of Balige, on Saturday, November 25, 2023, Sandiaga admitted that he received a report while talking to H2O Racing Founder Nicolo Di San Germano. The report relates to the title given to Indonesia as the best organizer or organizer.

"In my conversation with Nicolo, I received a report that Indonesia is the best organizer in this event, and this will be conveyed at Sharjah next week," Sandiaga said in a written statement received by VOI, Monday, November 27.

Sandiaga said that Indonesia, especially the Lake Toba area, was trusted as the location for the 2023 Aquabike Jetski World Championship. The event, which is fighting for the two world championships, was attended by 118 racers from various countries in the world.

According to Sandiaga, this is a new history. This is because Lake Toba has held two international agendas within one year.

For the Aquabike Jetski World Championship 2023 itself, he estimates it could attract more than 100,000 spectators.

This is based on InJourney's data that recorded that for two days it lasted, more than 50,000 spectators watched the event.

Through this agenda, he hopes that the tourism sector and the creative economy and MSMEs will have a positive impact.

"Although the community's rain is enthusiastic, and most importantly hotels are filled, MSME products can be sold. The economic impact for the community for the four districts as the location of the event has a good impact," said Sandiaga.

Meanwhile, H2O Racing Founder Nicolo Di San Germano considered Lake Toba as one of the best places in the world.

According to him, Lake Toba is very attractive and unique, so it is possible that Lake Toba will become a training ground for Aquabike and F1 Powerboat.

"There are many reasons why Lake Toba is the venue at this event, because of the splendor, beauty, and beauty of Lake Toba which deserves to be known by more people in the world," he said.

On the same occasion, the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo said the Aquabike championship could be an opportunity for Indonesia to develop national jetski athletes.

He considered that these activities opened up opportunities for Indonesian athletes to improve their abilities.

"The impact of Aquabike is the increase in the water sports industry, especially jetski, as well as the development of athletes in the future," he added.
