Deputy Chairman of Commission VII Bambang Haryadi revealed that there were allegations of illegal or illegal mining mining and allegations of buying and selling flying documents. "We will call through the illegal mining Panja (Work Committee) and will take direct action," he said at the Commission VII Working Meeting of the DPR RI with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources quoted on Wednesday, November 22.

Although calculated as a small mining company, this company made large shipments of coal, namely being able to send 1 coal barge in a day.

"The trafficking is extraordinary, almost sending 1 barge a day. Based on the source reported from the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal, almost every month," added Bambang. Bambang also said that he received information that this company was in someone else's business rights (HGU) conference.

"What is the process of giving RKAB? My hope is that the one in Southeast Sulawesi will not happen again. It will be seen that there is manipulation or a corruption process occurs because of licensing. Because licensing is one of the culprits," he continued.

For this reason, he said that the Illegal Mining Committee would visit the field by cooperating with Law Enforcement Officials (APH) such as the Attorney General's Office and the Police. Present on the same occasion, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif said that illegal mining is a classic problem and it is necessary to conduct a direct review to the field to clarify.

He also admitted that the efforts that had been made by his Ministry through the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal had not been optimal.

"We are very proud that the efforts we have made so far have not been effective. But with the support of the illegal committee, God willing, we can," said Arifin.

Arifin also said that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was ready to follow up on public complaints (dumas) related to illegal mining practices that occurred. He also promised that the relevant Directorate General would re-evaluate all licensing lists so that they could be verified.

"Because the overflow of regional permit management to the center is indeed a lot and we don't have time to screen one by one because there will be other big obstacles, so there may be missing, so we need to do housekeeping and improvements," concluded Arifin.
