Director Of Sido Muncul Irwan Hidayat Wins The Big Indonesia CSR Star Award

JAKARTA - Director of PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO), Irwan Hidayat received a prestigious award, namely Bintang CSR Indonesia Besar from La Tofi School of Social Responsibility.

Irwan Hidayat is considered successful in setting high standards for companies and all supply chains in environmental conservation activities, including waste processing and production wastewater. Irwan also welcomed the award.

Kami sudah tiga kali berturut-turut mendapat proper emas dari KLHK. Syaratnya juga banyak ya, salah satunya mengenai lingkungan, penggunaan energi yang menghemat, kemudian community development," ujar Irwan Hidayat di Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta, Rabu 26 Oktober (26/10) malam.

However, the increase in awards did not make him big-headed. Sido Muncul will continue to follow the rules as stipulated.

"For me, if the company doesn't follow the rules on carbon emissions, then it cares about the environment, water savings, and everything, it's the same as building community development, yes, in 5-10 years, generations will not want to buy our products," said Irwan.

Therefore, his party continues to strive to increase concern for the environment. One of the efforts used is to use an efficient machine.

"We use solar panels and then pay the PLN, PLN pays more than 3 percent if I'm not mistaken. So, we choose PLN which is more expensive. Continue to use efficient machines, high speed," said Irwan.

TruClimate CEO, Debby Renata said, her company is designing an application to calculate the amount of carbon emissions from the company.

"So, TruClimate is building a platform that can make it easier for companies in Indonesia to calculate their carbon emissions and transition to net zero," said Debby.

"To transition to net zero, the company must first calculate carbon emissions gas. Then, identify potential emission sources that can be lowered, such as that. We are doing end-to-end services for the company to be more sustainable," he continued.
