JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. recorded double-digit growth in fee-based income or commission-based income of 12.19 percent year on year or IDR 15.56 trillion.

"The achievement of the BRI FBI is in line with the volume of BRImo Super Apps transactions which grew by 66.87 percent yoy or reached Rp2,984 trillion," said BRI President Director Sunarso in an online press conference, Wednesday, October 25.

Meanwhile, from the user side, the BRImo application was recorded until the end of September 2023, reaching 29.8 million users.

"This achievement is in line with BRI's digital transformation, which this year focuses on strengthening retail banking capabilities," continued Sunarso.

In addition, BRI's fee-based income growth was also driven by an increase in Agent BRILink's business, namely a bank service agent with a business sharing economy model with the community, whose number has reached more than 698,000 agents with a total transaction value of 20.77 percent increasing to Rp1,163 trillion.

In terms of operations, said Sunarso, the digital transformation that the company continues to carry out is able to increase efficiency in BRI's business operations.

This is reflected in the ratio of Operational Fee to Operating Income (BOPO) and Cost to Income Ratio (CIR) which consistently improved compared to the same period the previous year.

"The BOPO ratio improved from 68.36 percent to 68.07 oersen and CIR improved from 42.55 percent to 41.28 percent," he continued.

He added that BRI's ability to distribute credit was also supported by adequate liquidity and strong capital.

This is reflected in the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) ratio which is maintained at the level of 87.76 percent and the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) at 27.48 percent or far above the regulatory provisions.

"With adequate liquidity and strong capital, it will further strengthen BRI's ability to anticipate all major risks that occur in bank management, and will further strengthen BRI's business growth through the provision of financial services, financing and empowerment of MSMEs," concluded Sunarso.
