Worried About Pertamax Migration To Pertalite, The Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources Will Have A Meeting With Sri Mulyani And Erick Thohir

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif revealed that he would soon hold a meeting between three ministries, namely the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

This meeting was intended to discuss the price difference between Subsidized Fuel, Pertalite, and Pertamax which reached Rp. 14,000.

It is known that on October 1, Pertamina adjusted prices for non-subsidized fuel and raised the price of Pertamax to Rp. 14,000 while Pertalite remained at a price of Rp. 10,000.

With this price difference, it is feared that many Pertamax users will switch to using Pertalite. "Now we are sitting alone. Between the finance ministers, SOEs, and me," Arifin told the media, Thursday, October 5.

In addition to the inter-Ministerial meeting, Arifin said that his party would also immediately evaluate the revision of Presidential Decree 191 of 2014 regarding the Provision, Distribution, and Retail Selling Price of Oil Fuel.

In this Presidential Regulation, it will also be regulated regarding restrictions on the Special Type of Fuel Assignment of Pertalite.

"Yes, we want to evaluate," added Arifin briefly.

Previously, the Director General (Dirjen) of Oil and Gas Tutuka Ariadji said it was possible for Pertamax users to switch to using Pertalite.

The reason is, the price difference between the two products reaches Rp. 4,000.

"If there is a possibility, but I don't think there are many in the number. But there is a possibility," said Tutuka who was met at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Building, Monday, October 2.
