Increase Sustainability Aspect Focus, PHE Holds CID Upstream Award 2023

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding held the Community Involvement & Development (CID) Upstream Award 2023 on September 25-27, 2023. This event is the first competition in the management and implementation of environmental social responsibility programs or community involvement and empowerment (CID) in Pertamina's Upstream Subholding environment.

PHE President Director, Wiko Migantoro, revealed that PHE as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding implements CID as a form of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) commitment, supports sustainable development both regionally and nationally, maintains good relations with various relevant stakeholders, and supports the preparation of the Company's Performance Assessment Program in Environmental Management (PROPER).

The 2023 CID Upstream Award is a breakthrough to improve the quality of the implementation of the CID program within the PERTAMINA Upstream Subholding.

"We really appreciate the holding of this competition. We believe that by encouraging the spirit of competition like this as part of Top Management's appreciation and recognition of the implementation of CID management, innovation and improvement in the management of the CID program, it will continue to be of higher quality, beneficial for the company, society and the earth where we live," said Wiko.

The 2023 CID Upstream Award divides competition into five categories. Best CID Program in the fields of health, economy, education & environment for CID workers, Best Community Development Officer for CID implementing partners, Best Local Hero for individual community movers, Best CID Leadership for management management, and Best of the Best for the Roller Cup President Director of PHE Subholding Upstream Pertamina. All of these categories were selected and judged by independent external judges to strengthen the validity of the assessment.

Based on the results of the assessment carried out by the independent external jury, the following results were obtained: Best CID Education Program 1.
