The Ministry Of Industry Appoints The ESDM Task Force As The SNI Lubricant Certification Institute For Lubricants

JAKARTA - The Center for Oil and Gas Testing at the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources received a certificate as a Product Certification Institute (LSPro) for Assessment of Adjustments in the Implementation of SNI Mandatory to producers of oil and gas products, especially lubricants.

This appointment is contained in the Decree of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4057 of 2023.

"Recently, LEMIGAS was appointed as the LSPro which is an Assessment of Compliance in the Implementation of SNI Mandatory to producers of oil and gas products, especially lubricants, based on the Decree of the Minister of Industry Number 4057 of 2023," said Head of the Center for Oil and Natural Gas Testing Ariana Sumanto in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 27.

Ari added that the appointment by the Ministry of Industry was based on the ability of LSPro LEMIGAS to meet the appointment criteria.

Apart from the fact that the LEMIGAS LSPro has been accredited by the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) with the number LSPR-077-IDN, as well as support for complete lubricant laboratory ownership throughout Indonesia which has been accredited by SNI ISO 17025:2017 supported by reliable, competent and certified laboratory personnel.

"The appointment of LSPRO LEMIGAS by the Ministry of Industry is of course carried out by meeting various appointment criteria, among others, LSPro LEMIGAS has been accredited by KAN, support for ownership of the most complete lubricant laboratory throughout Indonesia which has been accredited by SNI ISO 17025:2017 with the support of experts 18 ISO 9001 auditors, 44 sampling personnel, and 50 reliable, competent and certified laboratory personnel," explained Ari.

In carrying out the certification process, LSPro LEMIGAS guarantees that in carrying out oil and gas product certification and other processed products, they always strive to meet standard requirements, customer satisfaction, are not discriminatory, carry out continuous improvements to the effectiveness of the quality management system, and ensure that all personnel play an active and responsible role in achieving quality targets according to their function duties, are free from commercial pressure and maintain confidentiality and impartiality.

With the support of adequate facilities, LSPro LEMIGAS is ready to carry out the SNI certification process both mandatory and voluntary.

Therefore, LSPro LEMIGAS continues to strive to expand the scope apart from Lubricants, LPG and brake oil, as well as to increase the scope of stoves and drilling mud.

"Currently, the scope of LSPro LEMIGAS includes lubricant products, brake liquids, and LPG gas, both mandatory and voluntary SNI. With the support of complete and well-known laboratory facilities both nationally and internationally, LSPro LEMIGAS is ready to carry out the SNI certification process. So that the quality of lubricants used in various industrial sectors, including automotive, manufacturing, and agriculture is quality maintained. In the future, LSPro LEMIGAS will be expanded to the scope of stoves and drilling mud," said Ari.
