Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto did not deny that the level of women's work participation was still low, even though the education level of women and men was balanced.

"Although the education levels of women and men are almost the same, the participation of women's work is still low, namely 54.42 percent and men at 83.98 percent," Airlangga said in a virtual speech on Public Discussion: Indonesian Pre-Employment and Women monitored online, Wednesday, September 13.

"So, accessing skills to women will certainly encourage women to have their own income and this is certainly important for children's education and health in the family," he added.

Therefore, said Airlangga, the government encourages women to take part in training included in the Pre-Employment Card Program.

There, he continued, there were hundreds of trainings that could be selected and displayed as well as information on job vacancies.

"Prakerja bisa menghadirkan ratusan pelatihan secara online dan menghadirkan informasi situasi kerja terbaru dalam satu platform. Perempuan dapat bekerja dari rumah sebagai programmer, copywriter, contact center, digital marketer, content creator, data anayst, atau bisa memiliki bisnis kuliner di marketplace maupun platform," ujarnya.

On the same occasion, he also introduced a new line of trainings that join the Pre-Employment Card program.

"Today, I introduce new trainings at Pre-Employment. First, the training for driving buses and trucks from Hino. This is done at Hino facilities in Purwakarta," said Airlangga.

"Second, offline training, maintenance bulldozers and excavators from United Tractors, this is done in Jakarta. Third, online AI training from Microsoft. Fourth, green skills training consisting of the modification of gasoline motorcycles into electric motorcycles in Semarang, as well as the preparation of sustainability reports in Bogor," he continued.

According to Airlangga, the latest training was presented because of a lot of requests from the public. Therefore, he invites women to take part in training in Pre-Employment.

"AI training with green skills and these two trainings are also in high demand and this is a work passport in the future. Therefore, I encourage women to take part in this woman-in-test so that her abilities can increase," he explained.

For training artificial intelligence (AI), it can also be followed for free and can later pocket certificates.

"Microsoft in collaboration with Pre-Employment provides free AI, data, and cyber security training, and there is a certification of a thousand Pre-Employment alumni, please register because this is free," he added.

He considered that becoming a developed country is not only a matter of per capita income, but also growth, it must be fair and sustainable.

"The key to developed countries is the quality of human resources (HR) that are productive, high work ethic, and our workforce must have the latest knowledge and skills (up to date)," concluded Airlangga.
