JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) said that since 2010 the state budget funds that have been spent to build houses for Low-Income Communities (MBR) have been IDR 108.5 trillion.

Secretary of the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance Dedi Syarif Usman said the APBN contributed greatly to providing benefits to various segments of society in need.

"The government continues to utilize state financial instruments, including the provision of basic service infrastructure by encouraging an increase in households that occupy decent and affordable housing," he said in a written statement, Thursday, August 31.

According to Dedi, the APBN disbursement was channeled through revolving funds and State Equity Participation (PMN) in the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) program.

And in the 2010 to July 2023 range, the FLPP program has supported the ownership of 1,28 million housing units spread throughout Indonesia. Meanwhile, the realization of the distribution of FLPP funds from 2023 to July is 120,169 housing units from the distribution target of 220,000 units," he said.

On the same occasion, President Director of PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (SMF) Ananta Wiyogo explained that his party will continue to accelerate the housing financing ecosystem in Indonesia.

"We are ready to continue to increase the capacity of sustainable housing financing distribution, both in terms of supply and demand," he said.

In helping to reduce fiscal burdens, Ananta explained that until now SMF has consistently become fiscal tools through support for financing a portion of 25 percent of FLPP mortgages.

In its implementation, PT SMF synergizes with BP Tapera in providing FLPP mortgage funds sourced from the APBN to then be distributed to the public through channeling banks.

"As the Special Mission Vehicle (SMV) of the Ministry of Finance, PT SMF carries out a special assignment, namely supporting the provision of decent houses for MBR through the distribution of FLPP mortgage financing," said Ananta.

Cumulatively, from 2018 to June 2023, PMN received by PT SMF amounted to Rp7.8 trillion. The funds were then diverged so that they could finance the FLPP Program with absorption reaching Rp17.25 trillion or the equivalent of 481,188 housing units. As for 2023, until the first semester, PT SMF has distributed support funds of Rp2.21 trillion or the equivalent of 59,538 houses.
