JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan said regulations regarding exports should be made easier. This is so that Indonesia's trade will increase and grow rapidly.

"In principle, if we get the export, we get the dollar, so it is arranged as easily as possible, as easily as possible. If exports don't make it difficult, if it is difficult for export business actors, we will help them to be fast," said Zulkifli quoting Antara.

Zulkifli said that almost all countries in the world make export regulations easier. According to Zulkifli, which complicates foreign trade is better off.

"Even in my opinion, if it is not necessary, there is no need for regulations, export only. People can get the money quickly, get the money. Because I am a former trader, so if it is difficult, it is difficult, so it is better to export faster," said Zulkifli.

Furthermore, to become a developed country, Indonesia must dominate the world market. Indonesia's superior products need to be optimized to increase exports.

In addition, Indonesia must also be observant about market opportunities and fill them with various quality and competitive products.

"There is no choice, you have to control the world market. Just look at Japan, South Korea, China, floods of products everywhere. Go ahead of him. Thailand is smaller, the people are less but the exports of fruit dominate the world," he said.

According to Zulkifli, the key to becoming an exporting country is the cooperation of all elements of society, starting from the government, businessmen, politicians, soldiers and the community.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) Budi Santoso said that the Regulation of the Minister of Trade (Permendag) is always dynamic and follows the latest business developments. This also includes Permendag Number 22 of 2023 concerning Goods Prohibited from Exporting and Permendag Number 23 of 2023 concerning Export Policy and Regulation.

Furthermore, several export products that experienced adjustments to the requirements and ease of electronic export document research between the Ministry of Trade system and the National Single Window Institute (LNSW) include industrial and mining products, animals and animal products, food crops and others.

The two Permendag have referred to the Job Creation Act and will provide legal certainty and certainty in the field of exports.
