Pertamina Enters Fortune Global 500, Nicke: Must Be A World-Class Energy Company

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) is the only Indonesian company as well as the only SOE that is included in the Fortune Global 500 list in 2023.

Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati said this rating increase was in line with Pertamina's success in posting the highest net profit during the company's establishment.

"Pertamina posted a net profit of 3.81 billion US dollars or Rp56.6 trillion, an increase of 86 percent compared to 2021 of US$2.05 billion or Rp29.3 trillion," he told the media, Thursday, August 10.

Nicke added that Pertamina's revenue also skyrocketed to 84.89 billion US dollars or around Rp. 1,262 trillion, up to 48 percent compared to the previous year's 57.5 billion US dollars.

Nicke further added that what the company achieved was the fruit of the company's stronger foundation after the restructuring of the formation of Holding Subholding. So that all business lines contribute to the company. Pertamina is also increasingly establishing itself as a world-class energy company.
