Menpan RB Supports Acceleration Of Bureaucratic Reform At The Directorate General Of Taxes To Customs And Excise

JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas supports efforts to accelerate bureaucratic reform at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).

According to him, reform is needed within the scope of the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Taxes, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, and the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF).

"Of course we all see how the commitment and hard work of the Minister of Finance Mrs. Sri Mulyani to continue to carry out bureaucratic reform. We at the Kemenpan RB fully support it. So that, in the future, bureaucratic reform, especially within the scope of the Directorate General of Taxes, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, and the Fiscal Policy Agency, can be more optimal," said Anas quoting Antara.

Anas said Amien's arrival was in order to discuss the implementation of several aspects of strengthening governance in tax management, customs and excise, as well as fiscal policy.

"Pak Amien Sunaryadi explained various schemes that I am sure will further strengthen governance within the Directorate General of Taxes, Directorate General of Customs and Excise, and the Fiscal Policy Agency," he explained.

Moreover, he continued, Kemenpan RB has an integrity zone development program towards a Corruption-Free Region (WBK) and a Bureaucratic and Clean Serving Area (WBBM), which has been a guide in the assessment of various work units in ministries, institutions, and local governments so far.

"I think the existence of Komwasjak is strategic enough to support the efforts of the Minister of Finance to continue to reform the bureaucracy at the Ministry of Finance, especially at the Directorate General of Taxes, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, as well as the Fiscal Policy Agency, in relation to supervision of tax policies and administration," he said.

On this occasion, Amien asked the Kemenpan RB to work together to support the plan to implement ISO 37001 concerning the Anti-Seap Management System within the Directorate General of Taxes, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, and the Fiscal Policy Agency of the Ministry of Finance.

Anas also welcomed this to collaborate with various aspects in implementing the integrity zone towards WBK and WBBM.

According to him, preventing various practices that are not in accordance with good governance is part of the Government's efforts to make the bureaucracy clean and serve.

"The cost of bureaucratic reform is an impactful work and satisfying public services. We jointly encourage all government agencies to implement it," said Azwar Anas.

The Integrity Zone is a strategy to accelerate bureaucratic reform carried out by work units in government agencies.

The implementation of the Integrity Zone focuses on community satisfaction; so that in the assessment process it is not only assessed by the internal and national assessment team, but also pays attention to the results of online surveys by involving relevant stakeholders and the community.
