JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that Indonesia won a trade balance surplus of US$3.45 billion in June 2023.
BPS Main Secretary Atqo Mardiyanto said this positive score was mainly obtained from the non-oil and gas sector of US$4.41 billion. "However, this amount is induced by the oil and gas sector deficit of US$960 million," he said when holding a press conference on Monday, July 17. Atqo explained, this surplus was formed from a larger export value with US$20.6 billion compared to imports of US$17.1 billion. "The trade balance surplus in June 2023 is better than May 2023," he said.
