JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) invites BIMP EAGA countries (Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, East ASEAN Growth) to actively implement the Digital Business Center while attending the 10th annual BIMP-EAGA meeting, MSMED WG, in Kuching City, Sarawak, Malaysia.
"Indonesia is developing a Digital Business Center as an effort to develop MSMEs in the border area of the BIMP-EAGA state. Furthermore, we invite the BIMP-EAGA country to actively participate in filling in related information," said Head of Delegation BIMP-EAGA Indonesia from the Ministry of Cooperatives Yogia Prihartiny in his official statement, Friday, July 14.
The invitation to be actively involved in the Digital Business Center is an issue brought by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, because the activity or project was initiated by Indonesia for the development of MSMEs as a vocal point for cooperation in the BIMP-EAGA Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Development Working Group (MSMED WG).
At the annual meeting, each country conveyed the latest developments on activities/projects owned by each country related to the development of MSMEs, as well as discussing the latest issues and challenges of developing MSMEs in contexts in the BIMP-EAGA cooperation area, including from the point of view of the business world represented by BEBC.
Yogia said that the development of the BIMP-EAGA Digital Business Center program which is currently managed by the North Sulawesi Government (Sulut) can now be operated to support the promotion and development of MSMEs in the BIMP-EAGA area, namely in the form of E-Catalog facilities, activity information, training, market access, and promotional videos.

In the future, said Yogia, Indonesia will continue to develop the design and appearance of the BIMP-EAGA Digital Business Center, so that it is more user friendly and can support the development of MSMEs more optimally.
BEBC also welcomes the BIMP-EAGA Digital Business Center project initiative from Indonesia, but BEBC recommends that MSMED WG projects be integrated with each other.
"One of them is the integration of the BIMP-EAGA Digital Business Center project from Indonesia and the Database Industri project from Brunei Darussalam which can complement each other," he said.
