JAKARTA The company providing digital transportation services Gojek has launched a larger-scale freight forwarding service to users, especially the micro, small and medium enterprise segments.

Gojek's Head of Global Marketing Logistics Theresia Nadya said this latest facility is the company's business expansion through GoSend Car Instant and GoBox Van products.

"Gojek is committed to continuing to improve logistics efficiency and provide optimal solutions for MSME users and sellers in Indonesia," he said in a written statement, Juma, June 16.

According to Theresia, this breakthrough is also an effort to complement the variety of services and respond to the growing demand for shipments of goods.

"Continuing the success of the GoSend Car Instant service, which was previously only available through the Tokopedia e-commerce platform, now Gojek is expanding its reach by integrating the service directly into the Gojek application," he said.

Theresia added, with the presence of these two services, it is hoped that it will not only complement the fleet option at appropriate prices for user needs.

"This can also provide additional income options and opportunities for increased orders for driver-partners," he stressed.

Users can determine the choice according to the needs of the package dimension and get protection that is adjusted to the nominal price of goods.

The tariffs charged range from IDR 26,000 with a maximum nominal value for additional protection of up to IDR 1 billion.

Services themselves are currently available in Jabodetabek, Bandung, Surabaya and Bali.
