BNI Aims For Digital Payment Ecosystem Development At IKN Nusantara

JAKARTA PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk. (BNI) is said to be fully committed to developing a digital payment ecosystem in the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago. This was conveyed by the President Director of BNI Royke Tumilaar when participating in the 2023 Ecosperity Week in central Singapore this week.

"This event is also an opportunity for Indonesia to promote IKN through the Nusantara Market Sounding," he said in a written statement quoted on Thursday, June 8.

Royke explained that IKN is certain to be able to become a world-class capital with the implementation of a smart city holistis program.

"We believe this long-term development plan can maintain environmental sustainability, which is 65 percent of the land coverage is filled with cool tropical forests," he said.

Royke added that the company has optimizable business potential in IKN and can play a role as a partner in sustainable development.

He said BNI was also committed to building IKN by building a digital ecosystem, including providing multifunctional cards for transactions at the Construction Worker Residential Site (HPK) at IKN.

"The implementation of the Nusantara Market Sounding at the 2023 Ecosperity Week event is in line with the Government's vision and BNI's commitment as a state-owned bank that supports sustainability. BNI will continue to optimize business potential in the IKN ecosystem which can be jointly worked on for a better future," said Royke.

For information, this event was attended directly by President Joko Widodo and several cabinet ministers, such as the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.

Then, the Minister of Investment and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority Bambang Susantono.

The President himself directly socialized to strategic investors that reached more than 600 investors who were interested in the construction of a mega project for the relocation of the capital city of Nusantara.
