This collaboration is in line with the Indonesian Government's commitment to reducing carbon emissions while supporting economic growth," Darmawan explained in a statement to the media, Tuesday, April 18.

PLN's Director of Planning and Business Development, Hartanto Wibowo said that through this collaboration there will be an increase in employee capacity at PLN to develop sustainable energy technology.

This is an important step by PLN in order to reduce dependence on fossil energy.

"In the midst of the rapid increase in energy demand today, the development of sustainable technology is a big step taken by PLN to increase domestic energy security," said Hartanto.

Hartanto explained, after the launch of the Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM) at the G20 Summit, the Indonesian government is seeking the development of a fair and affordable energy sector for the community.

The goal is to achieve the net zero emission target by 2060.
