The Minister Of Trade Invites Youth To Contribute To MSMEs By Opening Business

JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan invites youth to open a business as a way of contributing to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"We are building an environment that has a business ecosystem to be developed. MSMEs, modern retailers, export, banking, and local governments are one unit to create a business ecosystem," said Zulkifli in a written statement in Jakarta.

The opening of a shop is one way to get used to people contributing to forming a business ecosystem. Zulkifli invites young people to try, build the nation's economy in the trade sector.

On a micro scale, for example, young people can open shops or stalls. One of the things that had just been inaugurated was the Muhammadiyah Warung Ahmad Dahlan (MuAD) in Metro, Lampung on Thursday (13/4).

"This is what happens in China, South Korea, Vietnam and Thailand. That way, they start to attack the world market. Indonesia is also expected to imitate these countries," said Zulkifli.

Furthermore, the important role of youth is expected to be a factor in Indonesia's progress in the future.

Indonesian youths must continue to be productive and inspiring in order to create harmony towards an advanced and prosperous Indonesia.

The trade sector can be a strategic sector where youth develop themselves and work more productively.

Meanwhile, Zulkifli said that the price of basic goods (bapok) when approaching Lebaran was stable. The success of maintaining stability in bapok prices is something that should be felt by the community.

"The more you go to Lebaran, thank God the price of bapok is stable. Usually if you want Eid, the price goes up. This is the first time the price of basic necessities tends to fall towards Eid. For example, the price of eggs, which is usually Rp. 32,000/kg, is currently Rp. 28,000/kg. The price of bapok is expected to remain stable until next Eid," he said.
