Hutama Karya Frees Three Toll Roads In Trans Sumatra, But Opens Only Until Afternoon

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) will open three sections on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) functionally.

This means that HK will not charge or free of charge during the Lebaran 2023 homecoming season.

The three functionalized sections have a length of 85 kilometers (km). In detail, the Sigli-Banda Aceh sections are section 5 and 6 along 12.7 km with 1 toll gate (GT), Indralaya-Prabumulih along 64 km with 1 GT, and Binjai-Langsa (STAbat-Proclamation) along 8 km with 1 GT.

"The three sections are Sigli-Banda Aceh section 5 and 6, then Binjai-Langsa, and the other in Indralaya-Prabumulih which is specifically opened for Eid," said EVP Corporate Secretary Tjahja Purnomo in Jakarta, Monday night, April 10,

Furthermore, Tjahja said, the three toll roads that functioned were operating limited from morning to evening.

"Fungsional from 07.00 to 16.00, means no night. Because they are still worried, there is no lighting, and so on," explained Tjahja.

During this homecoming season period, said Tjahja, Hutama Karya prepared 21 rest areas on the operational sections of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road and four rest areas on functional sections. That way, the rest area of travelers towards Sumatra increases.

"With conditions like this, every 30-40 km motorists passing through Trans Sumatra can rest. The importance is there, according to the program, congratulations on getting to their destination," he said.

Tjahja said, nine sections along 597 km on the Trans Sumatra Toll Road are ready to operate in the Lebaran 2023 homecoming period. Here's the list:

1. Sigli-Banda Aceh section 2, 3, and 4 along 35.8 km

2. Bengkulu-Taba Penjung along 17.8 km

3. Pekanbaru-Bangkinang along 31 km

4. Binjai-Langsa section 1 along 11.8 km

5. Medan-Binjai along 17.3 km

6. Pekanbaru-Dumai along 130.4 km

7. Palembang-Indralaya along 21.9 km

8. Terbanggi Besar-Kayu Agung sepanjang 189,4 km

9. Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar along 140.4 km
