Komut BTN Appreciates 3 New Ministers Of SOEs: Easier

JAKARTA - President Commissioner of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk, Chandra Hamzah, said he was relieved by the regulatory arrangement carried out by SOE Minister Erick Thohir which compiled 45 regulations into only three regulations.

According to him, the simplification of these regulations makes it easier for steps to carry out SOEs.

"The reason is that first, SOE managers will find it easier to get a reference," he told the media, Saturday, April 8.

Second, the easier it is to get legal references, the decision making in SOEs will be much faster.

Third, by emphasizing that only three SOE Minister regulations apply in all SOEs, the decision makers in SOEs are free from worry.

"Being easier, faster, and not worried that there are (regulations) that are missed. Just go back to the three regulatory books. We understand faster. In the past, it was very open the possibility of Conflicting or Conflict (between regulations)," continued Chandra.

As is known, the socialization of the three SOE Minister regulations which was first given to SOEs on March 27, 2023.

The three regulations are First, Regulation of the Minister of SOEs Number PER-1/MBU/03/2023 concerning Special Assignments and the SOE Social and Environmental Responsibility Program.

Second, the Regulation of the Minister of SOEs Number PER-2/MBU/03/2023 concerning Guidelines for Governance and Significant Corporate Activities of SOEs. Third, Regulation of the Minister of SOEs Number PER-3/MBU/03/2023 concerning SOE Organs and Human Resources.

Chandra added, the space to update each regulation becomes easier. For example, when we want to add something that doesn't exist yet, we just need to take a certain chapter, then we will deepen it, we will fix it.

"For example, wanting to regulate BUMN expansion abroad, just take a chapter about it. Just a certain chapter, then change it just a little bit. Without the need to change dozens of other regulations," he said.

Chandra also said that the role of SOEs as the locomotive of the national economy as well as being a buffer or pioneer for sectors that have not been touched by the private sector will become clearer on the legal basis. Simply refer to the Regulation of the Minister of SOEs Number PER-1/MBU/03/2023 concerning Special Assignments and the SOEs Social and Environmental Responsibility Program.

"To become a pioneer in certain industries, SOEs can be assigned so that later after the road, SOEs can switch to others," he concluded.
