JAKARTA National airline PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk. together with its subsidiary, Citilink, is said to have prepared at least 1.2 million flight seats during the period of homecoming flow and backflow of Lebaran 2023.

Garuda Indonesia President Director Irfan Setiaputra said the number would be distributed from April 15 (D-7) to April 30 (D+8), both for domestic and international routes.

"The addition of flight capacity during the Eid holiday season in 2023 is a form of Garuda Indonesia's commitment as a national flag carrier along with its subsidiary, Citilink to always be at the forefront of ensuring smoothness, comfort and safety of community mobilization," he said in a press statement on Sunday, April 2.

Irfan added that his party estimates that the peak of the homecoming flow in the 2023 Eid season will occur on April 20 and the peak of backflow will occur on April 26.

"We will of course continue to monitor the development of passenger movements and prepare various anticipatory steps if there is an increase in passenger movements during that period," he said.
