JAKARTA PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. It is said that it has prepared cash needs of around Rp49.6 trillion to anticipate an increase in public cash needs during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

Bank Mandiri Corporate Secretary Rudi Asaturridha said the number increased by 7.9 percent compared to last year.

According to Rudi, most of the allocation of cash needs is used to meet Bank Mandiri's ATM filling needs which are predicted to be around Rp. 16.5 trillion per day during that period.

"In order to support the distribution of cash to the public, we have also optimized the filling of 13,068 ATM machines connected to ATM Link networks, Joint ATMs, Prima ATMs and Visa/Plus across," he said.

Rudi added that the company also optimizes a number of online payment channels to help customers transact quickly, including EDC machines and Livin' by Mandiri applications.

"We have preventive maintenance for strategicly located ATMs such as rest areas, airports, stations, terminals, ports, shopping centers, hotels, gas stations and tourist attractions," he said.

Rudi explained that his party will also ensure optimal readiness of IT networks to anticipate the increase in transactions made by customers on all electronic payment channels, by forming an IT monitoring team that is always on standby.

"Not only that, Bank Mandiri also provides many special programs for Ramadan to pamper customers," concluded Rudi.
