Bringing A New Machine, Chandra Asri Owned By Conglomerate Prajogo Pangestu, Antonov's Largest Aircraft Rental

JAKARTA - PT Chandra Asri Tbk (TPIA) is said to have just brought in a new engine from the United States for the purposes of increasing the production of petrochemical factories.

It is known that the engine was flown directly from Houston, United States and landed at Kertajati Airport, West Java in the middle of this week.

One thing that is special is that the owner of TPIA, namely the conglomerate Prajogo Pangestu, leases the world's largest cargo plane Antonov 124-100 to carry the machine. TPIA itself uses the services of international cargo company intermediary PT Kurhanz Indonesia.

"Kertajati Airport is able to accommodate wide-body aircraft, and will become a regional economic magnet," said Kertajati Airport's official social media account, quoted Friday, March 24.

For information, Antonov 124 is one of the two largest cargo planes in the world. Meanwhile, another unit is Antonov 225 Mriya which has reportedly been destroyed by the war in Ukraine.

In general, Antonov 124 was built in Kiev, Ukraine with a flying capacity of 15,700 km and a carrying capacity of up to 150 tons. In the cabin room, there is a 1,500 square meter field structure of the surface area.

Meanwhile, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (TPIA) last year recorded a stock split with a ratio of 1:4 from IDR 200 per share to IDR 50 per share.
