JAKARTA - PT WIKA Industri Manufacturing (WIMA) does not want to rush in increasing the number of production capacity of their vehicles in Indonesia. As is known, WIMA is the manufacturing of Gesit electric motorcycles.

"We are also careful to invest and also have to calculate properly for it (production) and at this time we are only according to the amount of production available," said WIMA President Director Bernardi Djumiril quoting Antara.

Since 2019 until now, his party admits that the capacity of the factory, which is located in Cileungsi, West Java, is capable of producing electric motors of up to 50 thousand units in one year.

If calculated, he said the monthly average of the factory produces at least four thousand units in one month.

"Depending on demand as well, we are also trying to boost factor approach, so we are trying to meet consumer needs," he explained.

Even so, his party did not deny that one day the demand for this local work electric motor will increase. Gesits will also continue to increase its production capacity.

Currently, Gesits is one of the electric motorcycle brands that received subsidy assistance from the government of Rp. 7 million for one unit. This is because Gesits already has more than 40 percent TKDN for all existing variants.

"The condition for electric vehicles to be able to get this assistance must have a TKDN of 40 percent, we are proud that Gesits as the work of the nation's children has a TKDN of 46.73 percent," he explained.

Not satisfied with it, his party also guarantees that it will continue to encourage the use of local components in each of its vehicles which will continue to increase along with its journey.
