JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) together with five BUMN Karya support the development of the National Capital (IKN) Nusantara through the joint venture company PT Karya Logistik Nusantara (PT KLN).

"The presence of PT KLN is expected to be able to organize IKN development projects by providing supply guarantees and quality of construction materials," said Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Tjahjo Purnomo in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, March 16.

Tjahjo said the joint venture was formed to support the development of the State Capital (IKN) in providing basic construction materials, as well as focusing on the precast concrete business and trading construction materials.

Hutama together with five other State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Karya collaborated to establish a joint venture company, namely PT Karya Logistik Nusantara (PT KLN) on February 10, 2023.

Tjahjo said that the plan to move IKN was to build massive development in the IKN area where there was a very large need for construction materials, especially the need for concrete.

Seeing this opportunity, six state-owned companies carried out the initiation by forming a special company, to ensure that basic construction needs were met during the IKN development process.

Together with BUMN Karya which focuses on the construction sector, including PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk., PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk., PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk., PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) and PT Nindya Karya (Persero), the joint venture company PT KLN has received approval from the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number AHU-0111167.AH.01.01 of 2023.

The basic capital of the joint venture was recorded at Rp340 billion and the capital that had been placed and deposited was Rp85 billion.

With the operation office domiciled in Balikpapan, PT KLN has now started operating and as soon as possible supplies concrete needs to projects in IKN. Through PT KLN, it can also support the company's business activities," said Tjahjo.
