One of the activities is through the Scientific Works Competition (LKI) for Students/i SMA/SMK/MA National Level.

"Through this competition, it is hoped that it can encourage the younger generation to excel and be productive in expressing their creative ideas and ideas in an effective effort to preserve sustainable water resources," said Jarot in his official statement, quoted Thursday, March 16.

The UN Water theme is a sub-them of the Scientific Research Competition for Water Resources in 2023 which includes efforts to overcome the raw water crisis, technological innovation in overcoming the water crisis, community participation in the provision of raw water and clean water, as well as the use of information technology in an effort to overcome the water crisis.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, who also acts as a judge in the LKI Final, appreciated the enthusiasm of the younger generation, as well as support from teachers and schools in including their students in the National KTI Level Competition.

"These children are proud because they have done real research in the field, and care about their environment. Please get the companion / mother so that they can continue to develop as well as possible. Thank you children, continue to learn and research, don't get carried away because the challenges ahead are much tougher, avoid drugs, be grateful for what is currently there and hopefully it will be successful," said Minister Basuki.

Basuki also said that there is an opportunity to follow up research for the winners of Champions I and II. "Perhaps from the Directorate General of Human Settlements, Champions I and II, the results of the research can be followed up by increasing the scale to be greater, so that it can become a drinking water program on small islands," he added.
