Lebaran Train Tickets Have Been Sold For 20 Percent, Buy Before Running Out

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI has opened train ticket sales for Eid al-Fitr or Lebaran 2023 homecoming transportation. To date, tickets sold have 20 percent of the total provided.

VP of Public Relations of KAI Joni Martinus said, based on the monitoring of long-distance train tickets during the Eid Transport period which had been sold in the period 12 to 20 April 2023 was 184,551 tickets or about 20 percent of the total ticket provided as many as 912,698 tickets.

"I got this information, if I said it was 15 percent, now it's 20 percent. This number will still increase, because sales are still ongoing," he told reporters, at Bandung Station, Monday, March 6.

Joni said KAI had opened an order for Eid 2023 transportation tickets from February 26 or D-45 before Eid al-Fitr. He said the ticket ordered was the homecomer's favorite date.

"So indeed we see the movement is quite significant," he said.

Joni explained that his favorite relations so far are Jakarta-Yogyakarta, Jakarta-Solo, Jakarta-Surabaya, Bandung-Blitar, and others.

"These are favorite ticket booking routes that so far we have monitored quite high movement," he said.

Therefore, said Joni, KAI hopes that the public can plan their journey well through train transportation.

"Because there are still quite a lot of train tickets for the Eid Transport period available," he explained.
