Hutama Karya Optimistic IKN Access 3A Toll Project Completed 2024

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) Tbk targets the construction of the Karangjoang-KKT Kariangau access road in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) to be completed according to the target in 2024.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Tjahjo Purnomo said that currently the construction of the Karangjoang-KKT Kariangau 3A Access Toll Road has begun to progress early development.

Furthermore, Tjahjo said, at the same time the completion of the land acquisition process for the IKN Toll Road was still ongoing.

"Hutama Karya is optimistic that it can complete the construction of the 3.4 km Karangjoang 3A segment of the Karingau Summit on time and on quality so that it can facilitate access to the IKN core area which originally traveled 2 hours to only 30 minutes," he said in an official statement, Thursday, March 2.

Tjahjo said that the construction of this toll road will be divided into three segments, which are worked on by several BUMN Karya, namely the Karangjoang-KKT Kariangau 3A segment of 13.4 km.

Then, the 3B KKT KKT Segment Kariangau- Tempadung Intersection is 7.32 km long and the 5A Segment is the Tempadung-Jembatan intersection of Balang Island is 6.67 km long.

"In working on this project, Hutama Karya is part of the operation cooperation (KSO) with Adhi Karya and Brantas Abipraya, the focus is on working on section 3A alone," said Tjahjo.

In addition, Tjahjo also said that in this project, Hutama Karya carried out construction work on new 9.965 km of road and construction of new bridges that passed through rivers and swamps along the 3.435 km.

The hope is that the presence of the IKN toll road which is worked on by Hutama Karya can provide easy access to transportation, represent a superior nation by realizing smart cities (smart cities), creating new jobs, becoming tourism destinations and improving the economy of the surrounding area.

In addition to targeting the project to be completed on time, he said, Hutama Karya as the contractor is committed to providing quality insurance with the best quality and paying attention to environmental sustainability aspects and paying attention to K3 aspects in the field.

"In accordance with the direction of President Jokowi to carry a green area and implement the vision of future smart forest city, we must make it minimal for us to cut trees and protect the environment," he said.
