Astra's Net Profit Increases 43.33 Percent In 2022, Cuan From Heavy Equipment Sector To Mine

JAKARTA - PT Astra International Tbk's (ASII) net profit increased 43.33 percent to IDR 28.94 trillion during 2022. This amount is compared to 2021 which amounted to IDR 20.19 trillion.

ASII's profit per share was recorded at IDR 715 at the end of 2022. This achievement grew 43.28 percent yoy from IDR 499 in 2021.

Launching the financial statements on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), ASII's net profit was supported by net income which reached IDR 301.37 trillion during 2022, growing 29.17 percent YoY from IDR 233.48 trillion in 2021.

Quoting Antara, Tuesday, February 28, the revenue was contributed by the automotive segment of Rp121.05 trillion, the financial services segment contributed Rp26.73 trillion, as well as heavy equipment, mining, construction, and energy contributed Rp123.60 trillion.

In addition, the agribusiness segment contributed IDR 21.82 trillion, infrastructure and logistics contributed IDR 7.89 trillion, information technology contributed IDR 2.91 trillion, and property contributed IDR 1.12 trillion.

This increase in revenue is in line with the revenue burden of IDR 231.29 trillion in 2022, or an increase of 26.76 percent yoy from the previous IDR 182.45 trillion in 2021.

The company explained, if it does not include adjusting the fair value of ASII's investment in PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) and PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk (HEAL), ASII's net profit will reach IDR 30.5 trillion, an increase of 50 percent yoy from IDR 20.19 trillion in 2021.

Net losses on the fair value of Astra International investment in the two issuers were recorded at IDR 1.5 trillion in 2022.

ASII's liabilities were recorded at IDR 169.57 trillion, while equity was recorded at IDR 243.72 trillion in 2022. Thus, the company's total assets reached IDR 413.29 trillion by the end of 2022.
