JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) targets to reduce the ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) by 2.9 percent in 2023.

BTN President Director Haru Koesmahargyo said to suppress NPL, his party would make improvements in business processes from the previous year.

"The risk operation business is functioning optimally, of course the results will be felt the following year where credit quality improves," he said at a press conference on Bank BTN Performance Exposure quoted on Friday, February 17.

Haru explained, related to existing non-performing loans, BTN will make efforts to resolve it by re-restructuring credit.

Meanwhile, for troubled loans that have not improved, his party will sell assets, both retail and commercial.

"Regarding existing loans that have been restructured with these efforts, part of NPL can return to normal and performing and not improve and we will complete sales of assets and commercial sales assets for problematic assets to third parties," Haru explained.
